I’ve realized that I most likely won’t be able to afford going on an international trip this year what with having to pay rent and supporting myself for the first time in my life. It’s kind of a drain on funds, naddamean? But, no matter. I’ve decided this year I’m just going to take a few little trips here and there around the area and explore this great country o’ mine.
Here are my tentative plans for 2012-2013….
- November: Canada. Instead of going home this Thanksgiving or going to a friend’s house for the holiday weekend, I’ve decided I want to take my first solo trip to Vancouver BC. I feel like this will be as good of place as any to stretch my wings and get my first experience traveling by myself.
- April: I want to fly up to see my friend and brother in Utah this spring break. I’ve never been there before and I hear its beautiful.
- August: I’m thinking of taking a couple weeks before school starts to take a west coast road/ camping trip with a couple friends. If I do it in early August it will perfectly work out so that I can take off for a week or two after my lease is up and before school starts. Hopefully, I’ll be back on campus staying at the student apartments so I won’t have to worry about getting a new apartment.
I’m excited! Now to work on a budget…
